This Sunday: How does that make you feel? Stories I tell myself and other lies I’ve enjoyed with Kevin Nickel

Join us at 116 Main Street on Sunday, November 8th, for worship at 10:30am. Kevin Nickel will be speaking this Sunday on the topic “How does that make you feel? Stories I tell myself and other lies I’ve enjoyed.”

Our Ordinary Time worship theme: Jesus’ Way: Living God’s Good Way in the World

Throughout this fall, our Gospel readings invite us to explore the kind of life and community Jesus imagines for us — a way shaped by reconciliation, forgiveness, grace, humility, welcome, justice and love.

November 8th sub-theme is: Stay Awake

Big Idea: Jesus’ invitation to “keep awake” can be heard as an invitation to pay attention. God’s good way often appears quietly and unexpectedly. A life of faith means cultivating the awareness to notice where love, healing, justice and possibility are already emerging around us.

For Reflection: What helps you become more attentive to your life? Where have you noticed something hopeful or sacred in an ordinary place lately?

Scripture: Matthew 25:1–13
