Join us at 116 Main Street on Sunday, November 1st, for worship at 10:30am. Doug Klassen will be joining us from Mennonite Church Canada as a guest speaker this Sunday, speaking on the topic “Blessed are the Unlikely“.
Our Ordinary Time worship theme: Jesus’ Way: Living God’s Good Way in the World
Throughout this fall, our Gospel readings invite us to explore the kind of life and community Jesus imagines for us — a way shaped by reconciliation, forgiveness, grace, humility, welcome, justice and love.
November 1st sub-theme is: Blessed are the Unlikely
Big Idea: Jesus calls blessed people the world does not usually describe that way: Those who mourn, the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers, those longing for justice. The Beatitudes invite us to see differently — to recognize dignity, holiness and God’s presence in lives the world may overlook.
Scripture: Matthew 5: 1-12 – The Beatitudes
