MCC Update

Workshop: Compassion starts with understanding – Join MCC Manitoba staff facilitators to explore a deeper understanding of the history and current realities of colonization. This free workshop will be hosted at Emmanuel Mennonite Church in Winkler on October 28, 9 am to 4 pm. For more information visit mccmb.ca/trauma-lens-workshop and register by October 21.

Advocacy in the name of Christ – As citizens of a higher Kingdom, many Christians have chosen to keep their distance from politics. Join us for MCC Matters on Nov 4, 12noon-5pm at CMU (North Campus) to hear the case for advocacy as a vital form of Christian ministry—and a call from God for believers. This is a free event; for more info and register visit mccmb.ca/mccmatters

Sister Walk – Women are invited to join us on Nov 18 for a journey towards healing. While learning to care for women who have experienced abuse, participants will also be equipped to care for themselves. For more information, contact Jaymie Friesen at [email protected] or 204-925-1917. Register online at mccmb.ca/forms/sister-walk-registration-form

In Focus: MCC invites you to join us in observing Peace Sunday on Nov 12 or on another date close to Remembrance Day. This year our Peace Sunday resource focuses on the theme “Praying for peace.” Download and share the Peace Sunday packet with your family, Bible study, small group and congregation!
