Resource & Lead Team Updates

Hello Seeds Community,

As we head into the summer season at Seeds we are looking for additional financial help with two projects:

  1. As part of the hiring process, we may incur some additional expenses for candidate travel. We anticipate this could cost between $2000 and $4000, depending on candidate location.
  2. We need to replace an air conditioner this year at a cost of $6500.

Any additional donations you can make towards these two projects would be most welcome!

Since January 2024, Seeds has been on a transition journey and since January 2025 we have been witnesses to our collective strength and vision to sustain and to flourish as a faith community. Who could have foreseen the number of engaging, spiritually enriching, Sunday morning teaches lead from within? Who could have foreseen the strong behind the scenes engagement from all of the teams and individuals connected to our leadership – lead team, worship design, communicare, family connections, resource, hospitality, VPU/sound, and prayers of the people writers – that have allowed us to continue in the fulfillment of our mission to “make Jesus real”?

With July and August days away, it is with a sense of gratitude that we shift gears to more relaxed summer routines, anticipating the trips and adventures that our summer months provide. During the summer months, Marla will continue to be present, sharing her spiritual guidance. Behind the scenes, our teams will continue the work needed to sustain Seeds, with the hope that when September arrives, we all will be renewed, refreshed, and ready to re-engage with life at Seeds. The hiring discernment team continues to seek wisdom, working with Mennonite Church Manitoba and exploring how to expand our communication regarding our pastoral search.

The encouragement for us is to be patient, trusting that God will guide us in this significant journey. May God grant us all peace, wisdom, joy, and the faith to believe all will be well.
