MCC Update

Guess who’s coming to dinner? In this virtual visit on June 20 at 7 pm, we’ll explore the ins and outs of refugee sponsorship in Canada. We’ll hear first-person stories from families and communities who have been a part of a resettlement story, as well as MCC migration and resettlement staff. Find out more and register at mcccanada.ca/mcc-virtual-visits.

Sun and Shadow: Stories from Palestine. Join us on June 25 at 11 am for personal stories, music, poetry and conversation from Palestine, that centre education as a peacebuilding tool for a transformed future. The event is hosted by An Najah National University in Nablus, West Bank and includes Palestinians located in the heart of historic Palestine. Sign up to attend at mccmb.ca/stories-of-palestine-webinar.

Golf for MCC. Join us for a day on the green, prize contests and a delicious dinner, July 7, and you’ll support refugees and displaced people around the world. For more information about the MCC Manitoba Golf Tournament and to register, visit mccmb.ca/golf.

Passion and opportunity with Grow Hope

“When I first heard about Grow Hope, it struck a familiar chord,” Janice says. As a long-time MCC and Canadian Foodgrains Bank supporter, Grow Hope was a natural fit, but the impact of her gifts came alive when she visited MCC food projects in Haiti a few years ago.
