June 28th Updates – Pool Party Postponed & Pastoral Candidate Update

There has been a change to the date of annual Church Pool Party & Picnic. It has been rescheduled to August 30th because we will now be having our new pastoral candidate out for a visit on June 28th. Please see the note from the Hiring & Discernment Team below:

The hiring discernment team is excited to share that Rodney Hennessey and his wife Sarah will join the service June 28th as the next important step in the hiring discernment process. Following an informal conversation with the hiring discernment team and an interview with the interview team, it seems clear that we need to move forward with bringing Rodney to Seeds. They will spend June 26-29 in Altona and Rodney will be our guest speaker during the Sunday service on the 28th.
Rodney, his wife and three children are currently living on the east coast, although Rodney has pastoral experience with Mennonite Church Saskatchewan. They are excited to explore this opportunity and, as we are at Seeds, trusting God to guide us in this important decision.
This is a busy time of the year for all of us. Nonetheless, it would be great if you make time to be part of the service on the 28th.”
We will also have a lunch potluck on the 28th so there is some time to visit and connect with Rodney and Sarah. Please bring enough for your family and to share with others. Serving Group 2 will be on set-up and clean-up.
