December – Soulful Christmas

This Christmas season, we will all likely eat more, spend more, meet more, and expect more. Instead of trying to revolutionize the way we DO things at Christmas, what if the energy with which we walked through this season was soulful…that is, energized by the passions of something deeper than simply eating, spending and meeting. This Christmas, lets dream of soulful appetites, soulful gatherings, soulful giving! How can the Prince of Peace lead us “Home” for the holidays? Join us throughout the Advent season on Sunday mornings @10:45 am.

Daily Scripture for Today: Luke 2:8-20

There are many ways to engage with scripture…here are 2 of them!

1. Use the Divine Reading (Lectio Divina) method of Praying the Scriptures. Listen while you read it slowly. Meditate on what you hear. Speak to God your prayer, thoughts, questions. Rest in God’s presence, let His presence wash over you as you sit in quiet.

2. SOAP – Scripture (read it) Observe (ask questions, research, etc) Apply (What does say to me in the present?) Pray (let God know what you’re thinking or questioning)
