We will meet for a morning of worship at 10:30am at The Community Exchange. Join us for a breakfast potluck before the service at 10am. Please come with baked items, cheese or fruit platters, ready to serve for the potluck table. Serving group 1 is on clean-up. There will also be an Easter egg hunt for the kids at 10am.
This Sunday, we will be finishing up our series Jesus Ethos: Searching for the Ethos of Jesus – When we think about the Christian faith it is easy to reduce it to a set of beliefs and behaviors that determine the “good way” or the “right path”. How do we capture the “essence” of faith or begin to understand what a “Christian path” entails? In this Lenten period, we want to explore the ethos of Jesus. Ethos captures more of a sense of what is animating a people of faith, and what practices invigorate a people centered on Jesus. What kind of ethos was Jesus growing? How might that spark our imagination to embody that ethos.
