Celebrate your Mennonite heritage on a cross-Canada train tour! July 6-25, 2023, join the three-part Russlaender 100 Tour to re-enact the historic migration of 21,000 Mennonites from Russia to Canada, 1923-1930. Remember your ancestors’ faith and challenges. In gratitude for the welcome Mennonites received in Canada, tour participants are invited to support three MCC programs. Learn more at tourmagination.com/russlaender-100.

A spring MCC golf yard sale will be held on May 13 and 14 at 7 Mercury Bay, Winnipeg. You are invited to donate golf clubs or other golf-related items that you no longer need. We need people with various skillsets for tasks involved in creating comforters (sewing, pinning, sandwiching) and preparing for shipping (bailing, packaging). Listening in an age of polarization

Marta Bunnett Wiebe first joined Germinating Conversations to fulfil a practicum requirement, not knowing where it would lead. 

Today, she is editor to a collection of the initiative’s stories.

While Germinating Conversations seeks to bridge a divide between rural and urban Manitobans, Marta hopes that the book’s peacebuilding model will inspire more people to engage with each other over difficult conversations.
