Altona area residents are invited to attend a come-and-go celebration on Thursday, March 17, 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Altona MCC Thrift Shop, 10 Main Street, Altona. The anniversary will be celebrated with opening remarks by MCC Manitoba staff at 2 pm, refreshments, a historical display and launch of the shop’s spring inventory.

The first MCC Thrift shop opened in Altona, Man. in 1972. 50 years later, Susan Giesbrecht, one of four founders, says that the shop grew into much more than any of them could have imagined.
