Camp Koinonia is planning on fixing basement issues in the lodge. We are in need of excavating the dirt around the basement, straightening the walls, adding weeping tile, insulating, adding a heated cement floor and more. Camp Staff layoffs
This past week, seven Camps with Meaning staff members received temporary lay-off notices effective September 1. Unfortunately, Camp Assiniboia has had a significant number of rental group cancellations due to COVID-19. During this lay-off period some staff will work reduced hours and others will work on an as-needed basis when rental groups come. It is our intention to return everyone back to back to their position if and when it is feasible to do so. Please keep everyone in your prayers as we navigate through this transitional time.
Key to returning staff to work will be increasing rentals at Camp Assiniboia. The camp is available to small groups and families who wish to come and enjoy our beautiful facilities & trails.
