Camps with Meaning summer update – Thankful
This was a summer full of change and opportunity for Camps with Meaning!
We held 5 one-day Pop-up camps in July, with a total of 78 campers attending. These took place at Grace MC in Steinbach, Morden MC, Camp Koinonia, Douglas MC and Bethel MC. Our leadership and senior staff planned and led a day full of activities, Bible and Nature lessons, and group games.
We were also able to pull together modified staff training weeks, including SLT out-trips.
In August we ran 2 week-long day camps at Camp Assiniboia, with modified activities (including kayaking on our new lake!), and were able to accommodate a total of 81 campers.
A huge thank you goes out to our 13 leadership staff, 8 staff, 17 SLTs (Servant Leader in Traing), 7 TVs (Teen Volunteer), as well as to our kitchen volunteers, health officers and camp pastors!
