Brackets and Commas

In reading the familiar story of the wedding in Cana in John 2:1-11, my attention was drawn to the words in brackets in verse 9:

When the host tasted the water that had become wine (he didn’t know what had just happened but the servants, of course, knew)…

Does anyone else find it significant that the very first people to know about Jesus’ very first miracle were servants??? And that it was planned that way, a “no-brainer” – as evidenced by the words between the commas: “of course”?! I’m curious about how this sits with you.
