Daily Scripture – December 31, 2019

Join us for worship on Sunday, Jan. 5 for 10 am Breakfast Potluck and worship service @ 10:45 am. Bring a platter of baked goods, fruit or cheese for the buffet table. This is also Seeds’ 20th Birthday so be on the lookout for some birthday cake. The theme for the morning is JOY so you are invited to wear what sparks JOY for you. You will have an opportunity to share your stories of JOY and/or stories of Seeds past or present during the worship service.

Scriptures for this week are taken from the Revised Lectionary Year A.

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 63: 7-9

There are many ways to engage with scripture…here are 2 of them!

1. Use the Divine Reading (Lectio Divina) method of Praying the Scriptures. Listen while you read it slowly. Meditate on what you hear. Speak to God your prayer, thoughts, questions. Rest in God’s presence, let His presence wash over you as you sit in quiet.

2. SOAP – Scripture (read it) Observe (ask questions, research, etc) Apply (What does say to me in the present?) Pray (let God know what you’re thinking or questioning)
