As we walk into the first week of this advent season we cling to HOPE. The last few weeks at MCI have been challenging, and yet hope-filled. On Nov 18 we hosted our Annual General Meeting in the school chapel. The critical realities facing MCI were shared openly. With over 110 people in attendance, we felt supported as a school.
On Monday, the MCI board and staff gathered at the Pembina Valley Lodge for a day of casting vision for the future and sharing our heart for MCI. Our conversations were moderated by Pastor Gerald Dyck of the Westside Community Church in Morden. It was a beautiful day spent in God’s creation, growing together as a team.
In the coming days and weeks, we ask that you pray for us in the following ways:
- For safety for our staff and students over the holidays. Please pray for our international students as they travel home to be with their loved ones this holiday season. For some of our students, this will be the first time home in over a year. We also ask you to hold our international students close who are unable to go home and will be spending the break with local host families.
- For year-end giving. As we approach the end of 2019 we ask you to join us in prayer for continued giving to MCI. We have experienced great generosity this year, and are deeply grateful for the way our community has continued to support us.Thank you for your ongoing support of MCI.
