Author Tshaukuesh Elizabeth Penashue is an Innu Elder, activist, great-grandmother and long-time partner of MCC from Sheshatshiu, Labrador. She will be in Wpg, along with her daughter Kanani, to celebrate the launch of her book Nitinikiau Innusi: I Keep the Land Alive. Come hear her story at McNally Robinson on Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 pm.

Come hear international journalist Robert Fisk speak about the chaos that Trump has provoked in the Middle East, focusing on Israel-Palestine. The MCC sponsored event titled, “Tweets and Deals of the Century: How to join the Arab World’s sectarian war under the guise of peace” is happening on Nov 11 at 7 – 9:15pm. Tickets are $15 online in advance and $20 at the door. Pastoral Care and Domestic Abuse Workshop – Nov 21 @ 9am. This workshop is geared for those in spiritual care roles, the day will include sessions on understanding the dynamics of intimate partner violence and how to offer spiritual and theological support in ways that do no further harm. Capacity is limited. Registration is $35 and includes lunch. Registration deadline is Nov 14.

MCC Manitoba is looking for a Maintenance Services Contractor at 159 Henderson Highway. They will provide oversight for the general maintenance of the office, Sam’s Place and related equipment.
