Lecture on Trump and the Middle East. Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East invites you to a lecture by acclaimed international journalist Robert Fisk. Dr. Fisk has been based in Beirut since 1976. His lecture, “Tweets and Deals of the Century” focuses on current US politics and the chaos it has brought to the Middle East, especially in relation to Israel and the Palestinians. The lecture, to be followed by a Q and A panel, will be held on Monday, Nov 11, 7 to 9 p.m. at Broadway First Baptist Church, 790 Honeyman Ave., Winnipeg.   Discount advance tickets are available at the CJPME website (www.cjpme.org). Tickets at the door – students: $15, non-students $20.  This event is co-sponsored by Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba, Mennonite Church Manitoba Working Group on Palestine and Israel, and other local peace organizations.

The Menno Office offers community and pastoral care to students and staff at the University of Manitoba. It is operated by the Inter-Mennonite Chaplaincy Association (IMCA), a joint ministry of the EMC, EMMC and MCM. Come to our Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, Nov 13 at 12:00 at Fort Garry Mennonite Fellowship (150 Bayridge Ave) to meet the chaplain and some of the students, and enjoy a meal together.
