Faith leaders Delegation to the Spirit of the Buffalo Camp – Friday, Sept. 14 For the last two months, the Spirit of the Buffalo Camp, located near Gretna, has been offering a peaceful witness against Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline expansion. Led by Geraldine McManus (Dakota), the camp is asking Manitobans to stand in solidarity against this oil sands project  which does not have the free, prior and informed consent of all Indigenous nations (see www.stopline3.org) and is increasing the flow of fossil fuels in this age of climate change. Mennonite Church Manitoba is co-ordinating a one day learning trip to Spirit of the Buffalo Camp to pray around the sacred fire, to hear more about the pipeline project and Indigenous concerns, and to discuss what responsibilities the church has in these matters. If you would like to join, please email Dorothy Fontaine @ [email protected] and she will send you details for the day.

Anna Carter Florence Presentation and Workshop – CMU is partnered with an ecumenical group of church leaders presenting this unique event on Oct 2 & 3. For more info or to register call 204-832-3667 or email [email protected] or visit Workshop Info
