Daily Scripture – March 14, 2018

Scriptures for Monday-Saturday are taken from Lectionary Year A, the scripture on Sunday will help you prepare for the worship service on Sunday, March 18 @ 10:45 am.

“The greatest disease facing humanity right now is a profound sense of disconnection.” Richard Rohr.  This series will explore a Theology of Connection.  We feel a keen sense of separation, from God, from others, from ourselves, but we want to tune into the most ancient truth that we are forever joined together to God, and are never on the OUTSIDE of God’s love.

Daily Scripture for Today: Psalm 119:9-16

There are many ways to engage with scripture…here are 2 of them!

1. Use the Divine Reading (Lectio Divina) method of Praying the Scriptures. Listen while you read it slowly. Meditate on what you hear. Speak to God your prayer, thoughts, questions. Rest in God’s presence, let His presence wash over you as you sit in quiet.

2. SOAP – Scripture (read it) Observe (ask questions, research, etc) Apply (What does say to me in the present?) Pray (let God know what you’re thinking or questioning)
